ULIX “RF-GUN”:
Overview
The RF-Gun tool is a gun designed by ULIX Innovation to extract refrigerant gases from the circuits of refrigerators, air conditioners, and heat pumps destined for disposal. It can extract all refrigerant gases used in cooling systems, including R22, R32, R134a, R410A, R407C, R600 (isobutane), R290 (propane), R717 (ammonia), oil, and water.
Description
The gun operates via a hydraulic cylinder powered by an oil unit, capable of exerting a pressure of up to 100 bar and a force of 4900 N. The piston, equipped with a special seal, ensures perfect vacuum and pressure tightness. When the hydraulic circuit is activated, the punch lowers, piercing the refrigerant circuit tube, and then retracts, allowing the fluid to be removed.
Key features:
• High pressure and force for effective perforation
• Perfect vacuum and pressure tightness thanks to the special seal
• Hole diameters of 2-4 mm for freon and R600 circuits, and 4-6 mm for ammonia circuits
• Internal channeling for gas suction and conduction to the recovery system
• Non-return valve to prevent ambient air from entering
• Flushing procedure for ammonia suction
Advantages:
• Operational safety: the operator uses both hands during release, reducing the risk of injury (compliant with standard EN ISO 13851:2019)
• Ease of use: simple and intuitive punch down and up control
• Low maintenance: replacement seals and punches provided, with low replacement frequency
Services offered by ULIX Innovation:
• Study and optimization of the existing production process
• Training sessions for personnel on the full use of the tool
• Start-up and system monitoring at the customer’s site
• Remote assistance to verify proper operation
